What is Blend T6?

A processing aid based on a proprietary polysaccharide complex that maintains the quality of fresh seafoods. All components of Blend T6 are classified by FDA as a G.R.A.S., (Generally Recognized As Safe). For more information on G.R.A.S. please visit the U.S. FDA Website.

The T6 is used to processed whole seafood's products and cut fishes to prevent dehydrations, maintain color, texture, and to reduce microbes.

Preparation and Mixing instructions: 4 grams per liter of water

  1. To prepare the mix, you will need a water container, a scale and a paddle for stirring water.
  2. If necessary, pre-weigh the WCA T6 using the table below.
  3. Based on the size of your container, pre-measure the water using the table below. ***Note: Water temperature should be from 34*F to 50*F to achieve best results.
  4. To achieve the best results slowly add WCA T6 directly to the water while vigorously stirring.
  5. Once the mixture resembles the consistency of a very light malt/milkshake continue to vigorously mix for 2 to 5 more minutes to make sure no powder residue is left at the bottom of the container. 6. Dipped sample into the WCA T6 mixed for 1 minute, then dripped dried, vacuum packed, and keep frozen.
